| The non-profit making organization « HOPI-CLOWN » provides all the voluntary workers a training given by professional trainers in « clown technique ». This training consists of 40 compulsory « lessons » which will help the future voluntary workers to behave as a clown with the sick children.
After this training the clown trainees have to visit the sick children accompanied by their trainers who can help them if necessary and who will determine if they can work on their own.
Each hospital clown tries to bring a real well being to all these sick children often stressed by their illness and the hospital environment, making their stay less traumatic. Their parents are usually very grateful to the hospital clown for his visits. |
